Alex,

> I would like to do the project scale43.com.

Great, let>s discuss the general idea.

> I think it should be pretty close to this one, but maybe in a couple of languages at least english and/or russian. Check the Russian Washington DC site that I wrote several months ago.

I can make it multilingual and can add an option to add as many languages as needed.

>Your asp catalog is pretty good idea, but why stop only on 1:43 scale when there is also majority of people who collect 1:24 and even more 1:18.

well... 1:43 has become a "European" and then - "Russian" scale, so in my mind there is no need at least in the russian section about 1:24 and 1:18. there are very few Russian-speaking people (both in former USSR and abroad) who collect large scales like you do.

My original idea was to promote 43-rd scale mostly in the US basing on Russian and European models.

>Since I have about a hundred of 1:24 I can take picture of those. I also have 2 1:18 scale cars.

I would also like to point out that larger scale are wery well documented on the web due to the relatively small number of models (several thousand versus hundreds of thousands of 1:43) and thus it doesn>t make too much sense to join them.

Again, these are only my thoughts. I know of at least one more Russian who collects larger scales (Sergey, what do you think?).

> If you are interested lets do it.

Sure, let me see whay needs to be changed. In the current structure there is an option for different scales, so, theoretically, I will need to cut some options to make this software for 1:43 scale only.

And, trust me, 1:43 scale will be more than enough to handle even if other people (ower fellow collectors from Israel who collect all 1:43 scale models, etc.) join you in this tast.

For now there is notion of:
- scales
- manufacturers
- categories (multiple categories per model are avialble)
- users
- collections of users
- want lists of users
- models for sale by users

Last three features are not used by the wide public yet (my fault, I was going to give out special permissions, but it turnes out I>d rather let everybody operate with these lists).

Waiting for your reply,
Alex
