These are models of "Russian Mercedes" trucks made before and during WWII on Yaroslavl Auto Factory near Moscow. These vehicles were copycats of Mercedes trucks (I am not sure if these were bought or stolen from Germans, I heard contradictory accounts so far). Models are made by a modeling artist Volchanetskiy. Models are welded (Volchanetskiy also makes metal casted models that are approximately twice cheaper because of the lower detail level). It took me several years to assemble this collection. I am offering all these 58 models for $10,000. If I don>t sell them as a set, I>ll start selling them for $150-$350. A historical note by Stanislav Kiriletz, (http://www.kiriletz.de) from Germany: Ya-4 truck was manufactured by Daimler>s official license, they had Mercedes engines and radiators bought in Germany. A total of 182 chassis were made. The frame was used from an older Ya-3 (White chassis from WWI period). Later "Yashka">s (as the truck was nicknamed by Russians) had American-made engines (Continental and Hercules) and had very little to do with Mercedes.
